Nautical fashion is always in the air during sunny months and it will keep with us longer, thanks to the captains blazers and the ribbed-knit sweaters that shelter us from any storm even in mid-seasons. I don’t know about you, but to me the distinctive elements of this style are those to die for, they meet my desire to dress elegantly and be comfortable at the same time. The classic white, blue and red, all colours that blend perfectly with the mood of beach holidays. The striped pattern and the effortless style of nautical fashion become elegant and precious when combined with the most refined fabrics, including combed cottons, linen, organza, which give lightness to any gust of sea breeze.

So why not take advantage of summer sales to pamper us with new nautical fashion garments that we will wear for so many other seasons? For this occasion I have selected four simple and basic pieces, real must haves that can be combined in various solutions, especially when we are at the mercy of our doubts and we have “nothing to wear!”

The striped top, the white trousers, the blue ribbed sweater, the double breasted blazer with golden buttons: these are the clothes that I’ve picked from nautical fashion, special items that can be combined to create looks suited to every need, always with class and style!
Nautical fashion, the double-breasted blue jacket
How much charm the blue jacket gives to anyone! Not to mention the double-breasted one with the metal buttons! Adorable, with any garment. Perfect if we want to add elegance and class to the most casual combination of all, the one with jeans, the white T-shirt and fabulous sneakers. Original and very trendy, instead, if worn with denim or white cotton shorts, accompanied by flat sandals with many sparkling beads.

For those who do not feel at ease with the blazer, but are always looking for an elegant and rather formal garment, the cardigan with golden buttons looks like the right compromise between the formality of the jacket and the comfort of the sweater:

Nautical fashion, the white pants
There is no nautical style without white pants. Richard Gere comes to my mind in the cult movie An Officer and a Gentleman, an explosion of charm amplified by his white uniform. Suggestions aside, the white trousers are cooler and suitable for summer temperatures, enhancing the other classic colours of the navy style, blue and red.

Nautical fashion, the blue ribbed sweater
How nice and romantic is looking at the rushing sea when you are sheltered by a blue ribbed sweater! And to me that I am so romantic too, a special memory related to a beautiful holiday in Scotland comes immediately to my mind. It’s me wearing a warm blue sweater, in a cloudy day spent in one of those places that leaves you breathless, Neist Point, the lighthouse that is situated at the west end of the Isle of Skye. A tongue of land that flows into the roaring Atlantic, a sky of clouds and seagulls, the green of the hills that descend towards the blue of the ocean, me and my beloved ones sitting on the rocks and contemplating the force of Nature.

With the blue sweater you can never go wrong. Keep it always in the bag to use at every sudden weather change. And you can wear it practically with everything, from the skirt to the jeans pants, to the shorts!
Nautical fashion, the striped top
Last but not least, the striped top. Unmissable, indispensable for the fans of this pattern like me! Whether it’s a top, a blouse, a fitting t-shirt, you make always the right choice with the stripes. They give a fresh pop to the look for the office, they are really special if combined with a floral or a polka-dot skirt whose patterns contain their same colours. And if you want to dare with a seductive look, then wear the navy style fitting top with the faux leather cigarette skirt, high heels and a clutch bag, for a truly unforgettable evening!

See you soon dear friends!
