You should know how much I prefer the summer over winter! The only positive thing I can see in this cold season that is about to overwhelm us is footwear! Combat, ankle or western boots, but also cuissards and booties with large heels, in short, all the pair of shoes that greet me from the shop windows in downtown, just like it happened to Becky in the movie I love shopping. I must confess that I have all the books by Sophie Kinsella in original language. How much fun!
And I must admit that it is difficult to make a choice between these beautiful accessories that make the most basic look. Combat, ankle, western boots, they all stay on the same podium followed equally by other boot styles. I have a passion for shoes, but also for bags and scarves and … “Is there anything else?” My inner voice seems to ask me! Better not lose today’s argument and focus on the most special boots to look for before the holidays and be able to catch them during the next sales!
Combat boots
They are the boots that I am most wearing at the moment. They are perfect for the winter with that reinforced sole that fears neither rain nor snow. And they are fine with everything. With a light and precious dress, with cargo pants and an elegant jacket, with sporty jeans and a soft cardigan, in short, combined with many outfits where the common rule is mixing and matching items and clothes that generally belong to men and women.

Ankle boots
Love at first sight, for some years already. Because they are perfect for those like me who are looking for gritty but not too showy boots. The Kitten heel, thin and between 3 and 5 cm, the tapered shape that gives elegance to the foot. From sock boots that can be worn even in mid-seasons to animal prints and coloured materials. There is a pair of booties for everyone!

Western boots
This year’s trend wants them to be worn with an elegant trouser suit as President Bush used to do. And for me it would be bingo, because I haven’t tried this look yet and it would be added to my long list of endless possibilities, from which casual outfits emerge, captained by jeans and faux leather trousers, together with romantic looks with long and wide skirts.

Ankle boots with large heel
I cannot but think of the 70’s, everytime I see boots with wide and high leg and with wide or flared heel. And with them there are also the ankle boots, some are really bizarre and were worn by the big names of the pop music. Today these booties are on fashion again and can be worn with different looks, with skirts and tight trousers, in short, to create many elegant and casual outifts, because they are trendy and comfy at the same time!

The cuissards
Do you know that I also have two pairs of cuissards? Without heels and which I rarely wear. They are really beautiful and quite showy. Let’s say that they are often associated with aggressive looks, but the beauty of the mix and match style lies in the fun of combining strong contrasts to create more balanced looks. So ok to the cuissards with flare and romantic dresses and skirts, with leggings and large knitwear! For a pinch of personality to the usual look.

Which type of boots do you prefer? Or are you like me and love them all? Have fun dear readers! Have a look at the unique and special boots I’ve chosen for you!
